I Think I’ve Seen Every Cookware Brand Known to Man Through My Instagram Feed.
I don’t know what it is about my algorithm, but all I see these days are pots and pans. I guess ever since I learned about the non-toxic, ceramic cookware movement, I’ve been searching pretty aggressively for the right cookware set… so maybe I’ve brought this on myself.
The brands I tend to see the most, though, are the ones I’ve been persuaded away from (Like Caraway and Our Place). I’ve had more than a few friends tell me how quickly those pans break down and how, before you know it, you’re in the market for another. But there was one Instagram ad I saw the other day that intrigued me: Made In’s CeramiClad™ pans that mix the ease of non-toxic, non-stick with the durability of stainless steel.
I was definitely into the idea of a restaurant-level, cladded stainless steel pan with the easy-cooking benefits of ceramic non-stick. It sounded like the best of all worlds: no toxic Teflon chemicals, a slick cooking surface, and the industry’s most durable construction.
I decided to give these Made In pans a try, and lemme tell you: it was possibly the best decision I’ve made for my home.
First, Some Background on This Michelin-Star Chef-Favorite Cookware Brand
Made In is known for its timeless and innovative cookware trusted by over 2,000 restaurants worldwide. Since 2017, Made In has been combining craftsmanship, durability, and sleek, minimalist design to become one of the most sought-after cookware brands of all time.
- Made In cookware is used in more than 100 Michelin-starred restaurants like Alinea in Chicago and Le Bernardin in New York.
- They’ve been featured in Forbes, Architectural Digest, Esquire, GQ, and more, and have racked up over 125,000 reviews for 4.9 out of 5 stars.
While Made In is mainly known for their 5-ply, cladded Stainless Steel line… their foray into a non-toxic, ceramic non-stick surface with CeramiClad™ gets a warm welcome from me. I’ve since gone all in on Made In’s CeramiClad™ 3-piece set which comes with an 8”, 10”, and 12” frying pan all for $397 $349.
Here are 5 reasons why this set has changed my relationship with cooking at home.
1. Non-Toxic, Non-Stick, AND Professional-Grade
Made In’s CeramiClad™ is just built different: the American-made, two-layer, proprietary ceramic coating is professional grade and holds up way longer than its cheaper-made counterparts. I’ve been using these pans for damn near half a year and my morning eggs still slide off these puppies like butter. That’s because CeramiClad’s™ proprietary coating has been tested to outlast the competition, passing nearly 50,000 abrasion cycles without issue.
With some ceramic pans, the “non-stick” works. (For the first couple of months.) Then the surface gets finicky, and you’re left scrubbing away burnt-on bits that somehow defy all cleanup hacks. This is precisely what friends of mine had warned me about for ceramic pans.
Of course, I’m still getting all the non-toxic benefits of ceramic. Made In’s CeramiClad™ is proudly made without PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, lead, cadmium, or BPA. With these pans, I don’t have to sacrifice professional performance to not worry about chemicals leaching into my food.
2. The 5-Ply Stainless Steel = Lasts 2x Longer Than Competition
Most ceramic cookware on the market is just a ceramic coating over a single layer of aluminum that warps and chips underneath cosmetic coats of color. But the secret to how Made In’s ceramic cookware is so many cuts above its counterparts lies in its 5-ply, cladded stainless steel construction.
Made In takes it up a notch by bonding 5 different layers of stainless steel to create a base that allows for best-in-class heat conduction and even heating across the entire surface of the pan. There’s a reason the best chefs in the world use Made In’s cladded stainless steel cookware. My CeramiClad™ pans have a responsiveness that I’ve never experienced on a surface so slick and effortless.
The cladded base also means these pans are compatible with any stovetop (even best-in-class for induction) and oven-safe up to 550°F. With no more half-cooked pancakes or unfinished cuts of meat, I’m starting to feel like I should open a Michelin-starred restaurant myself.
3. Stunning, Iconically Made In design
I know that cookware should be about function over form, but let’s be real. I want my kitchen to look as good as the food coming out of it.
And Made In absolutely nails this aesthetic. These CeramiClad™ pans are minimal but elegant, with a design that feels both timeless and modern—whether I’m whipping up a risotto on the stove or stacking it on the shelf. These are the kind of pans that look like they belong in a top-tier restaurant without seeming out of place in a home.
Plus, they feature Made In’s signature handle, which is hollow in the middle sections to dissipate heat. I’m known to burn the s*** out of myself when cooking with stainless steel, so this is a huge bonus.
4. Cooking Is a Breeze, and Cleaning Up is Even Easier
If there’s one thing that can make or break a pan for me, it’s how easily it cleans up after a meal. That’s why I wanted ceramic in the first place. And Made In’s pans live up to the easy-clean-up standard and then some.
Thanks to their proprietary ceramic coating that’s strong and ultra-smooth, nothing sticks to these pans. And I mean nothing. Eggs slide right out, and even after searing, a quick rinse and gentle wipe are all it takes to make the pan look brand new. You’d be surprised how much easier it is to get started cooking knowing that the cleanup won’t be a hassle.
5. Made In (The United States of America)
Made In’s CeramiClad™ combines their award-winning 5-ply stainless clad frying pan with the first-of-its-kind, American-made performance non-stick ceramic. Each piece comes from Wisconsin and features carefully selected metal and material so I can trust in the build of these pans for years and years and years.
As a plus, I get to support American manufacturing, giving me peace of mind about my cookware’s quality and a good feeling about investing in a brand that keeps production close to home. In a market where products are always outsourced, it’s refreshing to know my cookware is made with unparalleled craftsmanship.
Finally, Ceramic Cookware That Actually Lives Up the Hype.
MadeIn’s CeramiClad™ is cookware that doesn’t just look the part; it plays it, too. I’ve become absolutely obsessed with my set, whether I’m using the 12” pan for searing steaks or the 8” pan for my morning eggs.
It’s also worth mentioning that Made In offers free shipping on orders over $49 and accepts returns or exchanges for up to 45 days. So there’s really no risk if you want to give these beauties a test run. I’ve got a feeling you won’t want to let them go. I went with their 3-piece set for $397 $349 to just stock up my kitchen, but Made In also offers à la carte if you just need one or two.
